Our personal development curriculum is designed to help children become confident, respectful, resilient and responsible individuals who are prepared for the next stage of education and life beyond school. Through our Strong Foundations approach, we place great importance on relationships, wellbeing, communication, personal safety, emotional development and positive character. We aim to ensure every child feels safe, valued, included and able to thrive within our school community.

In the last week of each half-term, it is our Poetry Performance assembly, and every class performs their poem to the rest of the school.

Clubs & SHINE time
SHINE time is every Friday from 14:15-15:00. During SHINE time, children can attend a club of their choice each half-term. Currently, our SHINE time clubs are:

There are three whole-school sports days in 2026-2027:

During curriculum days, we pause all usual lessons for the day and have the whole school focus on a theme. We plan to teach elements of all subjects through the theme. These days help us teach about the diversity of beliefs, traditions, and cultures, and mark important days and events in British life. On these days, children will take part in lessons, activities, and workshops.
