PTFA - Parent, Teacher and Friends Association
Who are we?
The PFTA (Parents, Friends and Teachers Association) is a group of parents, staff and friends of Sutton Manor Community Primary School who meet to look at how we can raise extra funds to support the school. The association aims to support the children by providing and assisting in the provision of extra facilities and activities within the school. Several social events are organised by the PTFA, such as our popular Halloween Disco and Christmas Fair.
Our PTFA is co-ordinated by Miss Worrall, Year 4 teacher and Mrs Kinsey, Learning Support Assistant.
The association plays an important role in drawing together families, the wider community and staff in a mutually supportive partnership as well as providing plenty of fun for all!
All of the money we raise from these events will go back to the children. We are currently trying to raise money to go towards purchasing play equipment for our playground, quality texts for the children to enjoy at home and at school that enrich our class libraries.
Do I need experience?
No. The PTFA benefits hugely from the ideas of new members as well as those with experience. What is important is your enthusiasm! The meetings are usually informal and a good way of linking together parents, staff and the local community.
We are always looking for help to help organise our events. If you would to volunteer your time or require more information, please see Miss Worrall, our Year 4 teacher, Mrs Kinsey or contact our school office.
