Essential computer use and click and collect service available at Chester Lane Library

St Helens Borough Council’s award-winning Library Service has opened Chester Lane Library for anyone needing essential computer and internet access during national lockdown.

Available by appointment, residents can use a computer for up to 45 minutes at a time during library opening hours to support important tasks such as study, access to benefits, work and employment search.   
For library members wanting to borrow books, a click and collect service will be available at Chester Lane. View the catalogue here:   
Spaces are also available on the Home Delivery Library Service for shielding or vulnerable residents, which allows members to enjoy up to 20 books or audio books delivered direct to the home once a month. 
Meanwhile, digital content including e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and e-comics are available to access 24/7 using a library card by visiting   

We have made our facilities as safe as possible, with hand sanitisers available, screens at the counter, and social distancing in place. We also respectfully request that everyone over 11 years old wear masks whilst in the building.
